I have a chance to get a Loudmouth used (6 months old) at a good price but I'm trying to get an idea how it will sound. So does anyone have a vid with the loudmouth on an LT1 car?

LS1sounds.com has a bunch, but they are on LS1's. It'll still give a pretty good idea though. I could get you one of mine w/ LT's if you want. But to be honest, I've never heard a clip do it justice. Most of these cheap home video recorders can't acurately record anything at a high volume. It gets horribly distorted and crackly. You've just got to hear one in person. But take my word for it, you'll love the sound, go ahead and buy it.

 

I think the catback sounds insane... I love it and damn happy I went with this catback.

Mine is great also but to give you an idea, I was cruising to a new job site which was local and decided to take my Z. I had a buddy who was sleeping in the passenger seat while we were cruising 70MPH down Hwy41 here in Wisconsin. Someone was coming up quick on my *** and I was approaching someone also so I quick passed the guy and when I got on the gas and she down shifted he lurched up from sleep. It scared the hell out of him and all I could do was laugh. This thing is bad *** when you get on it, but let me warn you if the police in your area are d!cks you may want to go another route. Fortunately the cops in my town are cool, besides most ride Harleys with straight pipes....so they can't really bitch.I have been pulled over twice though by my favorite cop in the town I grew up in. Me and him have a history when it comes to the cars I drive, but... that is another story

Well I have a catback that came with my car but I don't know the brand. It sounds ok so I'm having to think hard about going with the loudmouth. Here is a vid of my current exhaust. I wanted to romp on the exhaust hard but it was late at night when I took this vid and my neighbors hate noise. BTW I don't know why but the vid is recorded really low so you will to turn up the volume.

I would stay away from the loudmouth catback. Its alight for a stock car but who wants to keep their car stock? After you add headers it will get rediculously loud and youll end up selling it anyway. My neighbor has LM on his car and to be honest I think it sounds like complete crap... plus the cabin noise is pretty annoying.

I personally think the 2OTL sounds perfect but most people dont like the look of both tail pipes coming out of one side. *shrug* Once you hear it... you could care less how it looks, especially thru headers and no cat.

 

Ive got headers and mine isnt that bad, but I still have a cat.

The loudness does get annoying when you want to be quiet though :/
