Today i got something out of my passenger side door and when i shut the door the lock just fell out of the door. I have never used the key on that side because i never get in on that side, but why whoud it just fall out? I can still put it back in but now usually it just hangs there. WTF???

Do you mean the lock cylinder? It is held on by a slide-on spring clip from inside the door. Maybe the clip snapped.

I'm sure this thread will eventually get moved out of "engine tech".

as shoebox said there is a C clip that slides on the back of the lock cylinder that holds it in place. Assuming you were talking about the lock cylinder. Your post was pretty vague.
