Does Your LT1 Run Worse When Fans Kick Turn On?
In really hot days out here in California, my engine is just not happy. 90 deg plus outside, and it just hesitates...just slightly, but annoying enough.
And when the fans kick in (high), the engine just feels drained. The voltage gauge seems to dip a bit..not into red, and overall engine just seems to struggle. It's never died on me because of this (knock on wood), but feels like it.
Does your car feel drained with the radiator high fans turn on? Do I have an electrical issue...weak alternator or something?

Is your car throwing any codes? The fans come on when a fault code occurs.
I thought for the longest time that I had an error in my PCM program because the fans would come on unexpectedly. Turns out I had a bad IAT throwing the code causing the computer to activate the fans.
You didn't mention seeing a service light so I'll assume not, but thought I'd put the idea out there.
