Do speed density ECM learn anything?

Since the 93 is speed density and uses look up tables is there a "learning" procedure that takes place after power has been removed from the ECM?

Asking because i recently put headers on and the car seemed to run okay after the install, but its seemed more responsive after a few start up cycles.

Yes, adaptive learning happens in the speed density (EPROM) units too.

Re: Do speed density ECM learn anything?

There's really very little difference between the 4th Gen speed-density and MAF setups. The key difference is that the speed-density calculates the mass air flow internally, with the VE table being a critical component of the calculation, and the MAF PCM simple converts the MAF frequency output to the mass air flow rate using the calibration table in the PCM. After that, its still got the closed loop capability to "learn" by modifying the long term fuel corrections.
