I got out of work to late to contact him, it seems he skips out a bit before his 5pm time advertised. I'll call today since I am off work.

This plug issue is the same one that I am debating with one of my associates at work... AKA: (Carquest)... In our computer system, the default for Spark plugs in our system recommends what came from the Car Manufacture... IE: If it came with plats, then our system only shows that, and no other plugs...

And our catalogs are the same way....

I personally have used NGKs, Autolites, AC Delco, Bosch in my 93 Camaro and have noticed very little difference in wear at 10,000 miles..... Plats are suppose to last longer than standard plugs...

Right Now I am using AC Delco Plats and I have not pulled the out yet, but it seemed to me that the NGKs worked better...JMO

Opti spark was my main problem, but it is true that NGK only recommends one type of plug for our cars. Call the NGK tech for more info on your particular vehicle.

That's why when you go to an autoparts store, you ask for EXACTLY what you want by part # and completely ignore the "what car do you have" crap.

That's why I go to NAPA, they don't treat you like "they" are the experts, but they still know their **** when you ask them.

I've been running TR55's for 40k miles now after I replaced my stock AC Delco's at around 40k miles. (I've got 82k miles on my car now). Car runs great, puts out amazing times (in the sig)

My only gripe with NGK's is the screw on terminals at the end, sometimes they get loose and I'm not too hot on that, although I personally haven't had a problem with it, I've seen friend's cars that have run better after tightening those up.
