Do I need new valve springs with 1.6 RR's?

From: LUBBOCK Tx and Dallas on occasions
Do I need new valve springs with 1.6 RR's?

I want to add these witha stock cam? my bro did these and revved too high and floated valves and broke a timing chain?

The Hot Cam springs would be cheap insurance.

You could probably get by, but if it were me I would get some springs.

My friend used the stock springs and ended up breaking the tips off of 2 pushrods about 10K miles later.

Springs

Call Combination Motor Sports in LV and tell them what your doing. They have thier own brand of spring that does not require machining the spring seat for a very good price. These springs are good to a .600 lift.
