Re: Ditch Opti

dennis5374,

There is nothing wrong with your sarcasm meter. Some months back, I posted on how I could not get an OBD1 code reader to connect to my '95 Z28. This code reader is listed on Summit as being compatible with a '95, although in actuality it is not, but as a newbie I didn't know that. His reply was "You just wasted $30 on something you could have used a paperclip for".

Knowledgeable guy, but sarcastic. And obnoxious.

Re: Ditch Opti

I don't think there really is anything reliable to replace it.

Re: Ditch Opti

I thought Fred got into detail about your options pretty well. Those are your only options no ifs and or buts about it.

If you are going to quote me, at least be accurate.

In effect, you just spent $30 for a device that is equivalent to a 2-cent paperclip.

Obviously a couple people here with their own agendas. If you want more info, send me a PM. I'll be glad to help.

Re: Ditch Opti

The weird thing is I took my timing chain cover off and looks like my chain skipped a tooth, is that possible on a LT1?
