Re: first time, track times

With a 2.0 60-ft time, you would have been well into the 13's.

Re: dissapointment at the track.

60 foot might fix a little, but it's still way slow for a bolt on LT1 at a 600' elevation track, then you apparently have ported heads and I'm assuming a hotter cam, makes it even worse... I'm thinking something is bad wrong, or am I missing something?

You might try what I've had to do, that is having someone you know (in my case family) video you running at the track. I've been able to go back and see how my car was acting from a different view point. I've been having trouble with my car for a while now, but always have had trouble with 60' times. This last video I started noticing that it was mostly my driving. So now with some practice out on some back roads I've gotten better at taking off without loosing so much traction. Plus I've setup a website (and excel file) to track progress.

Re: dissapointment at the track.

Were you spinning? Do you have any suspension mods? If not you may just be putting too much power to the wheels and no traction. A set of dr's would kill the 2.3 60' and put you mid 13 easily.

I'd guess a tune and better tires are in order, a tune to get more out of your setup and tires for traction, also if you think you are down in power, get it on a scantool and see if you are getting any KR.

Re: dissapointment at the track.

I consistantly run 13.0- 12.8 at only 3- 4 mph faster than you do. Big difference as stated before I run mid 1.7 60ft times. Drag raidials and bigger stall will make a huge difference.

So would a supercharger, or N20, or maybe an F-16.
