Dip Stick Leaking, How to fix? Please!

The dip stick tube that goes into the block is leaking real bad on my 1995 LT-1, is this hard to fix? the car has SLP 1 3/4 headers, is that going to make it worse, I'm thinking of just taking it to a guy with a hoist. ANY IDEA'S?

It's not that hard, man. There's only one bolt that holds the dipstick tube to the block. With headers, it is a little more difficult to get to the bolt (On an LT-1, what isn't?) but just pull it out of the block, check for cracks, clean everything well, and re-seal and install it. I prefer to use import gray RTV, it's only rated at 50 degrees less than copper, and is MUCH more resistant to Petroleum. We used the same stuff to seal the panels on our F-14's and it held up to many MACH + passes, so it has my vote!

It's really easy, the only hard part is waiting for the RTV to cure.
