difference in headers 93-97

I have been looking at headers and I have noticed, some say they will fit 93-97 models, then others say they will fit only 93 and 94 models, while others say they will fit 95-97 models. What would be the difference in the headers?

The usual difference is between OBD2 dual and OBD1 single cat models.
Not sure about 93, but 94-95 and 95 kali-97 are different since OBD2 has 2 cats they get the totally screwed up headers that bunch up in the engine compartment. If you have to keep the stock OBD2 2 cat config, then you are stuck with that, if not, then definitely, you dont want those ones.

so as long as the Long tube headers look normal, and aren't all bunched up in the engine compartment they should work on my 95 TA?

One difference between the 93 model and the others is the location of the AIR fitting on the right side header. The AIR port on the 93 model [right side] is located toward the rear of the header.

It only makes a difference if you are going to be using "emissions" headers, that use the stock cat locations, and include the AIR and EGR connections.

93 - single cat, unique passenger side AIR/EGR combined port

94/most 95 - single cat, separate AIR and EGR connections on the passenger side

95 CA emissions A4 cars only/96/97 - dual cat, AIR and EGR locations the same but the stock AIR connections are a smaller diameter than on the earlier years
