Difference in 94 and 95 lt1.

Is there a difference between the 94 and 95 lt1 engine. My motor has blown and i found a 94 lt1 motor and was going to buy it and put in mine. Just wondering if there is anything that needs to be changed over

There are lots of little differences... Vented opti in the 95 v unvented in the 94. The timing covers and such are different.... As far as the block goes, I think they are the same. So you could take the components off your 95 and put them on the 94 motor...

All years of the LT1 blocks are the same..... other than the 4-bolt mains in the Corvette and "service replacement" engines. All the same part number and configuration, and all completely interchangeable.

If you got an "early" 94 engine, it may have the oil pressure sensor near the oil filter, rather than on top of the block behind the intake manifold.
