Did you know you can use Gen 1 rotating assemblies in Gen 2 motors?

I have been doing some homework on building an LT-1 shortblock, and i came acrossed an adapter that you can use to convert a one peice seal motor to a 2 peice, has anybody tried this? Jegs, Summit, and Pace sell it! The reason it interests me is Gen 1 rotating assemblies are more readily available, and cheaper. What do you guys think?

There were many reports of the 2 pc to 1 pc seal adaptor leaking back when the one piece seal stuff was super expensive and people were trying it. Now that we have forged cranks for less than $3600 I don't see why anyone would try it.
