did search already, big block swap q's

i got a line on a 427 from my dads boss, thinking about taking out the lt1, seeing as how i cant get the damn thing to run right anyways. i was wondering how well a big block fits in a 4th gen, is there distributer clearance issues? and also, does anybody make motor mounts do put a bbc in a 4th gen? what about headers. any links to a website would also be appreciated. thank you in advance.

You are going to be very hard pressed to fit a big block into a 4th Gen F-body. Yes there will be clearance issues with the distributer. I have heard of people getting the short style type and possibly fitting it in there. As far as the headers go. Lots of people have trouble with the headers hitting the steering linkage, I cant imagine how bad it would be with a big block. I personally wouldnt have the patience or interest in doing something like that. The only way I could see doing it is if it was a all out race car and u could junk alot of stuff in the engine bay.
