Dexcool to Regular Anti-Freeze conversion.
Last month I wanted to do a coolant flush, so I called the dealer to find out what to put in the system. Surprisingly he told me to put the green stuff in. He said it doesn't last as long as dexcool, but it is better for the system. Right or wrong? I dunno. I honestly don't believe there is a difference, other than longevity, but thats just me. The only thing is, the system has to be completely flushed if you are going from one to the other, because the green will destroy the efficiency of the dexcool.

If the car hadn't been under warranty at the time I would have never let them put their greasy paws on it.

It's not the end of the world, but the next time you do a flush I'd put the Dexcool back in.
I'm fairly sure that pre-95s came with the green. My car came with Dexcool and thats what I use. Even if your car came with the green stuff I'd still switch to Dexcool. Better heat transfer and being better on the waterpump seals helps.
