Delteg System

I was wondering how many of you have the valve cover mount and how many have the lower radiator mount type. I have to order mine soon and need to decide. I would like it up on the valve cover but wouldn't the heat get to it? So i just wondered what you guys had and which you liked. I sure hope this will take away my total drop off at 4,700rpm----the motor just stops basically......lol

Re: Delteg System

Its called Delteq FYI

I just installed one in my car last night. I went with the radiator mount. And man that install was pretty easy. I really like the way its setup.

Personally I think the valve cover mount looks pretty cool. From what the instructions say, it comes with a heat shield. And on many coil pack cars tend to have theirs mounted on the valve covers, or near them, from the factory. So I dont think heat is a problem.

The reason I ended up going with the radiator mount, is because I felt routing the wires from the bottem was much simpliar, and also because I planned on running aftermarket valve covers. So I didnt want the delteq to cover up the bling bling lol.

Re: Delteg System

I dont think heat is an issue on the valve cover mount. I had mine mounted to the intake manifold for many months now and have no issues with heat-

Re: Delteg System

I installed mine on the radiator / fan shroud. I think it looks a lot neater than on the valve cover.

Re: Delteg System

wow that looks pretty good on the intake manifold.

i put mine down by the radiator to keep it out of the way. keep the engine bay a little neater and simpler when i open the hood for people.

install was easy as pie though. good stuff

Re: Delteg System

for you guy who went with the radiator mounted unit. Are you running heat shields for the wires?

Mine looks like it wont need them. But I wonder if I should just get them just in case.
