my car started to idle real rough recently(it reminded me of when the exhaust was disconnected after the y-pipe except without the loudness), so i looked under the hood to find that my drivers side header bolts are rusting, all four of them. they are only about 4 months old as they came with the gaskets that i changed. the old bolts were never rusty. the passenger side bolts are still just fine though. what would cause this?

 

Get stainless bolts. Black oxide rusts.

 

I would hope that you have 6 bolts per side

 

oh right, duh yeah all six of the drivers side. well they are black oxide, so i guess thats it.

it's just that i noticed them after the car started running badly
