I would not hit a dead dog in the *** with probe parts they would break. I own a very reptuable high performance shop and say that kit is crap. Buy what you want but you will be sorry. This is starting to sound like the post where a guy was going to use kb hypernutetic pistons to shoot nos or put boost on. Once again go ahead and learn for yourselves but for people that want to listen i am here to help

Your initial list sounds like it is for a dirt track eninge... ie..Claimer Pistons. Probably okay for engines that only last a short while, but I don't think I would go that route for my street car.

You might try this place also. Strokermotor.com

What is so bad about the parts in the kit? Silvolite claimer pistons are regular silvolites but the valve reliefs aren't CNC'd. Hasting rings, clevite bearings, durabond cam bearings? I have all of those parts in my 406. I forgot who made the crank? Was it PBM or SCAT. I don't see the point in having a $1500 rotating assembly when stock parts set up properly will work. I agree, some of you guys with 383's need a good bottom end, like the 433 RWHP car, or spinning it 6500+ or sprayin the **** out of it or blowing it harder than Jenna Jameson in a Vivid video.

Stock parts setup right will last. Just my .02

I just got the kit, Bearings look good, what about this kit is junk??? everyone says the pistons won't last. well I'm not going to spin the engine 6500+ or shoot nos into it. hoping to make 450 horse at the crank. Just want to know if this kit will hold up.

I don't really have much to say about the kit other than it will probably be fine in a mild engine thats not abused too much.

The same basic kit has been on ebay for the last few months... right now item #245836158 The "buy it now" price is $560.

I looked at this kit as well. I wouldn't classify it as junk but I think you have to look at the bigger picture. The cost of installation and good stoker block machining, not to mention the effort if you do it yourself is the same whether you put it mediocre parts or good parts. For about another $1000.00 you get top quality parts. I know 1k isn't chicken feed but i'd rather save and wait than to do a stroker and not have the piece of mind that top quality parts give you. A little over kill when building an engine is in my opinion a good idea.

Just my $02. Good luck though with whatever way you choose.
