DD cam for CID?

What are the opinions on DD cams for larger cube LT1's? I am looking for a DD cam for a 396 cube LT1 backed up with nitrous and a4. Does anyone have a proven combination? Thank You

What are you running for heads and are emissions a concern?

No emissions. Stock heads- I can get them ported or send to LE. I am just looking for a good combination for DD due to the wife liking the car as much as I do. Thank You

Adding cubes without addressing the heads is a HUGE mistake.

I would suggest Advanced Induction, but at the same time thing you need to step back a bit and rethink your route. If you thought adding displacement and using stock heads without porting was vaguely OK then you are probably making other signifigant mistakes as well.

either advanced inductions or lloyd elliot will put together a great running combo for you, but what exactly are your goals and what is your budget here

Thank You for the replies. I understand that the additional cubes will require additional breathing room. My delima is that my wife drives this vehicle also, so I must error on the low side. There is no dought that I will have to make a airflow adjustment. My question is what effect does the extra cubes do to cam specifications? I am very mechanical minded, so you can throw about anything at me and I will understand it. ( excluding females of course, but still working on them ) Thank You

you could build a very streetable 383 with a GOOD set of ported heads and a smaller cam and make respectable power

who ever you go with will grind you a custom cam to your liking. So if is streetable you want streetable you will get. Cant go wrong with either le or ai.

The cam is going to make a bigger difference in how the car drives than a nice set of heads. Talk to LE or AI about your needs. They can, and will be very helpfull.
