replaced a lot, weak spark

I have a 1995 Formula LT1 6speed. My car was missing really bad, finally just shut off.My timing chain broke, also broke my rotor button. Replaced, car started up but would miss pretty bad. All my plugs were pretty wet and about fouled out so replaced them. Car still wouldnt start but it was getting a weak spark to the plugs. This morning car started right up. Turned it off, went to start again and wouldnt start. Its getting a very weak spark from the coil to the distributor. Replaced the coil with another used coil, did the same thing. Now im waiting on a buddy to get here so we can take the ICM off of his LT1 and put it on mine and see what happens. Any other ideas??

Is the battery at full capacity and the alternator working? If not you will not be able to achieve the proper spark your going to need.

Also have you checked all connections leading to the ignition system? Physically pull all connections and check for corrosion. Corrosion will prevent the system from getting the power it needs.

And one more obvious question, how old are your spark plug wires and coil wire?

A Compression check should be the first thing you do.

Agree'd, other than that, is it possible you may have a "collapsed" lifter that isnt opening a valve properly? Maybe you should check fuel pressure as well seeing as you have to hold it to the floor to run.
