custom manual fan switch?

Who here has done a custom maual fan switch using 2 LED lights and a hi-low switch? I followed the directions off the http://users.oco.net/xero/fanmod/ website...but because i am OBD-1 the directions arent all the way correct for my car. i have the fans working fine, but the LED's arent...one stays on all the time, but doenst go off when the switch is in the off position, and the other light is hooked up the same way, but doesnt even come on...i followed the directions to a T, but its still messed up...anyone have instructions or know whats up?

you do realized the LEDs are polarized.. dont you? Just in case if you didnt know, try reversing the one that stays on all the time. also you wanna test the second one. are you using the correct resistors?? if you do you can just test it by conecting the rignt polarities to the battery with the resistance in series. If it doesn come one just replace it with a new one..

keep us posted
