Will I be able to use stock FI for rebuilt motor?

I found an LT1 block for sale with a seized piston. It has no heads. I know I'm not going to need the heads, so they don't matter (since I'm going to need the AFR215's to be pushing 500hp). But, I don't want to have to pay 2000 bucks for a fuel injection system when I'm done rebuilding the motor when I could have just bought a motor with everything on it.

Well, you're definitely going to need bigger injectors, probably 36lb. And your stock pump may not be able to handle it - it'll be on the edge...

Right, but the expensive/complicated part (the stock PCM) can easily be used (with appropriate tuning) to support a 500hp application. I am still using the stock PCM (with a lot of add-ons) to support >800rwhp. There are certainly lots of potential benefits to an aftermarket ECU, but excpet for the 7,000rpm limit, the stocker can do a surprisingly good job in a hi-po application.
