Crate motor will it fit

Is it possible to make a gm crate motor fit into a 93 camaro. How big can you go Im probably never going to actually do this im just wondering if its possible if it is how big can you go. A 454 in a 4th gen would be so cool but i doubt its possible otherwise there would be more around.

in order for a 454 to go in the shock towers would have to be modified, by spreading the outwards and a new k member fabed I believe somone has done it but I not sure how much more is involved.

Your easiest bet would be a carbed 383 or something like that.. but then why?

the whole point of a crate motor would be to put a bigger motor in not a littler one even though they are powerful. I will probably just do a 396 (still in my dream world) but if it is a drag only car maybe i can get rid of the strut towers completely and but ina big block 572 muahhahahahahah

i personally know someone who put a bore and stroked 502 in a 95 formula. it dynoed alitle over 750 rwhp with a blower.

but he ended up selling because it was costing to much money to keep runing

i guess the 396 is a more intelligent way to go then and the 572 will have to be in a 69 camaro

no shocktower modifying necessary.
brady_96z on this board has a 4th gen with a big block in it.....according to him "The big block is cake to put in if you have a manual rack and an aftermarket k-member.. I fabbed my own motor mounts and I found some headers that fit"

heres a pic of his car with a 540ci motor

BMR is in the process of making a tubular kmember to bolt in BigBlocks. There is somebody out there with a 502 in his 4th gen, not sure his name though.

By the way, BMR finished the kmember, and I didnt realize this but it is for 1st gen SBC and BBC so you can put whatever you want in there, except ford.

Now all someone has to do is make headers for the 4th gen and BBC
