Crap, cracked flexplate!
This sucks. Upon inspection I found some hairline cracks in my flexplate around where the torque bolts in. Good thing I looked at it-

Does anyone know off hand how many teeth there are on this thing so I know the correct one to order? I'd rather not count them if someone knows off the top of their head

I love it when this happens!
Re: Crap, cracked flexplate!
I appreciate the offers on flexplates, but after seeing this I think I'm going to invest in a stouter TCI one.
Ken, I noticed that the part # you gave me was the externally balanced flexplate. I've just had the motor completely internally balanced, which sucks for me because the TCI plate for internal balanced applications is $200 as opposed to $100. Is this something I need to talk to my machine shop about first before buying?
