Crank timing gear
i was wondering the same thing yesterday when i put mine on... i kept asking myself "can i heat it up and tap it on?" and i didn't have a gear installer so i grabbed the propane torch, baby sledge and a piece of wood to use as a drift...
took a little while but i got it all the way on...
not sure if this was the correct way, but i did do an online search and saw that it is a method that has been used...

The tool is basically a piece of pipe with an inside diameter a little larger than the outside diameter of the crank snout and woodruff key. It has a closed end or a cap welded over one end. Such a tool is included in the kit when you buy a Jesel Belt Drive.
