Weight Question

What is the weight of an LT1 with cast heads and air condioning. I'm just looking for the motor's weight to setup my suspension. Thanks.

First, LT F-Bodies (93-97) don't come with cast iron heads, they are always OEM aluminum. Probably around 675 pounds (engine only) with iron heads.

well in that case, search. there is a several page thread about it. that is if you have alum heads, no one mentioned cast since our engines didnt come with it

Maybe his engine came out of a B-Body (iron heads), and he transplanted it into a Jeep?????

Probably be easier to help him if he included a "signature" with basic info about his setup. Not likely anyone would guess what he's working with, but I think I remember an old post where he indicated it was a Roadmaster engine in a Jeep.

Yeah it's out of a 9C1 Caprice Cop car. Cast heads and all.

Honestly about the signature, I'm not really oin here enough to add one I don't think. I just ask a question here or there. Not jsut that but it changes so quickly that I don't feel like updating on it all the time. I do that on my Jeep websites enough. I'll add one just to satisisfy you guys though, and thanks again for the quick replys.
