crank snout removal???

Angry crank snout removal???

hey i got the harmonic balancer off and am ready to pull the timing cover. so i get a harmonic balancer puller to pull the crank snout and this thing WILL NOT BUDGE. i torqued it so hard it even started to bend the puller's bolts. impact wont work, cheater isnt helping. what gives? am i missing something here?

I put a 1/4" extended socket in the hub so the harmonic balancer puller can push off on that instead of on the hub itself. If you have not already done that.

I used a grade 8 bolt to push off of. and it worked but it was a PITA! keep trying don't give up.

You are probably trying to pull the hub apart, since it is made like this. It's not the same as removing a balancer from a regular SBC. You have to use something down the hole to push against like previously mentioned.
