Thanks Bret I'll go with that and see. Do you think the .050" was part of the problem?
sick-1...I REALLY hope it's not worn down cam lobes! I've got a dial indicator, so I can measure if need be if it comes to that. I doubt it though, or I REALLY hope not. With the couple dry rockers, I'm hoping there's still at least oil on the cam lobes.

There is always oil on the cam lobes, especially in a stroker. Windage helps that out a lot, plus there is drain back from the top of the motor into the cam area. I would look at those lifters, if you are in there adjusting the rockers yank the pushrods and shine a flashlight down in there to look at the tops of the lifters to see if the clips are still there.
