Corvette/Camaro Hi-performance 96' LT1 LT4 Knock Sensor Module?
I saw this Hi-performance knock module below on E-bay & don't really know if I should put this on my 96' LT1. It seems to me that if I somehow had a gas station attendent that put a lower grade of octane in my tank without me knowing it, I would get all kinds of knock that the computer wouldn't reconize & adjust for. Any thoughtful help would be appreciated.

Re: Corvette/Camaro Hi-performance 96' LT1 LT4 Knock Sensor Module?
It's not a "high performance" knock sensor. It's just an LT4 knock sensor. The auction should say "it may help your car perform better". It will only help if you are having a false knock issue and will not compromise knock detection from poor octane gas.
Re: Corvette/Camaro Hi-performance 96' LT1 LT4 Knock Sensor Module?
The only difference between the LT4 knock module and the one your car came with lies in the fact that the LT4 KM filters out the noise from the Crane roller rockers that were used in the LT4 engine, to prevent knock retard due to false knock. If you've upgraded to full roller rockers, or if you have some other evidence that you may be getting "false" knock retard, it MAY help.
