Corsa

Anybody here have Corsa cat-back on their f-body? I'm looking into getting one. The sound clips on their site for the LT1 sound amazing! I'm just looking to see if they really sound this good and if their is a noticeable difference in performance.

Steve

ps: I've heard Borla is the best but I know there are some fans of Hooker cat-back on here. Which exhaust is best overall? Sound and performance.

I've got one on my 94. It sounds good and does add a little sotp performance I'm sure it's worth several hp over stock. It looks pretty good too with either tip. I wouldn't buy one new though. I picked mine up used for about 500 with the bigger tips. If I did it over again I'd get a muffler shop to weld up a new muffler with some 3" pipe and get the tips from Afterthoughts Auto. The LT1 sounds better (more muscle car sounding) than the LS1 with the Corsa. I've had it on both.

That system adds 14 rwhp to your lt1. I heard Borla on my friends Impala SS and it sounded like ****. The only good Borla I've ever heard is on Wing's? TA. I think that's his name, the red 97TA. Nice car. I myself purchased a Hooker catback and it should be here by Friday. I was going to go with Corsa, but due to idiotic spending I ran out of 6k in a matter of months, which could have gone towards my car, haha. Corsa > Borla !!!

Thanks for the feedback guys! I am now definately considering Corsa as my main choice. Anybody know someone that is selling a Corsa system for a 95 LT1? Mine was dual cat but is now single cat in case that matters.

Thanks!
Steve

Just to tag on, I have the Corsa exhaust as well. I absolutely love the sound--it's exactly what I was looking for. Low rumble at idle, no drone at highway speeds and sounds good when you give it gas. Another thing I liked about Corsa was they had excellent customer service.

ah, from what i heard on the corsa website, it gets a little too high pitched in the upper rpm's for my taste,,also, the tips look decent on ta's, but look hideous on z's. to each his own though. i'n my opinion, i'd get borla, its the least restrictive, and you can also change the tune with the restricor plates. i'd get hooker before corsa. like i said though, everyone likes their own sound

I have had a Corsa on my 96 T/A for about a two years now. I love the sound. Very quiet on the inside of the car. I recently installed Hooker LT's and y-pipe. Oh **** is it loud when you get on it. Still quiet inside the car at cruise.

I thought mine was too. I had a rattle that I couldn't find. I called Corsa (very helpful) and they told me that my exhaust was built two months after their production changes. They recommended me to retighten the clamps to 60 ft/lbs ( it was 30 in the instructions I believe) and that fixed the problems.
