Correct Part Number?

I have a 95 Z28 and I am trying to find the correct part # for Front Coil Springs, I went to the dealership, and all they gave me was a list of part numbers for front springs for my car but could not tell me which one was correct. I looked at the service part numbers located in the glove compartment but they did not help me.

Look on your RPO code sticker for four consecutive codes that begin 6xx, 7xx, 8xx, 9xx, where xx is two alpha characters. The 6xx and 7xx are the LH and RH front springs. The two alpha characters should match a code sticker that is taped on each spring. That code is what the dealer uses to match the spring.

If you want to get some inexpensive factory springs, you migh try some take-off from SLP. http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...RTNUMBER=96305

They also have a special on a complete set of springs and shocks.

You will probably want to change the shocks at the same time, anyway. The same amount of labor is required to change the shock or the spring, so it makes sense to change both at the same time.

Just use the code from the RPO sticker, then.

The take-offs only have a few miles on them. They are units that were on brand new Z's and Firebirds that came from the GM factory and were transported to SLP for modification. In essence, they are brand new (just installed and then removed).

Too late now I already ordered some that give me a 1" drop, sorry I didn't see this before I placed my order yesterday.
