I'm gonna be re-installing the heads as soon as I get them back from the shop. Has anyone heard of copper spray-a-gasket? A friend of mine told me to hang my new head gaskets up from a coat hangar and spray 'em with this stuff. What is it used for and should I use it or not?

 

I used to use it on old style sbc steel shim gaskets to keep them from seeping water. I've never used it on coated composition head gaskets, not needed, probably not recommended.

 

Why?

 

I never heard of the stuff before, just wondered if it would benefit me or not.
