Angry coolant temp sensor

if the coolant temp. sensor went bad and was telling the PCM that the temp was too "high" the fans would run, correct.. what about if the car was shut off, keys out, ignition off... and the sensor was reporting back a high cooland temp.. would the fans run.. that's what mine are doing I think?

Re: coolant temp sensor

if your fans are on with the key off and out, you most likely have a stuck fan relay
