well, its almost time to take the baby out and put it on the road. so i decided to heat it up and make sure everything is running fine before i take to the shop in a couple of weeks.

almost since i got the car there was a small amount of steam coming from my left side of the radiator near my battery. the strange thing is there is no coolant on the ground or on my hoses or on my car. the coolant level is fine as well. over summer when i would feel down there i could grab a small amount of liquid, but still no leakage on the ground or hoses. there is a little evidence of a stream coming from the radiator cap.

i was wondering what it could be. rad cap, radiator, or something else? if u could incorporate prices, that would be nice.

 

could be a pin hole

it may be leaking so little that it evaporates before hitting the ground.

i'd replace the cap...it's like $5 but just make sure you get the 18psi cap for the LT1.

if it persists...take it to a radiator shop they will pressure test it and plug the hole if need be
