Coolant low, is this normal for LT1s.

A few months ago the coolant was low and the 'low coolant' light blipped. Well yesterday it blipped again. Am I in trouble or is this normal?

Coolant is purified water and two bottles of water wetter. And yes it was filled to the proper level. I've run this on all my cars and never had an issue with cooling here in AZ.

The coolant level sensor on my 95z28 m/6 did the same thing , even when full.If I'm not mistaken it is a common issue that these cars have, being it is located on the very top of your radiator it will sense even the slightest decrease in coolant flow and if . Also they are known to get miscellaneous debris on them causing it to come on and stay on.Now you can either clean your existing one , replace it w/a new one , or simply unplug it. Your car will not throw a code w/ this sensor unplugged, but just be very proactive when it comes to manually checking your coolant.I have had mine unplugged for about 1 year or so -- no codes.

Appears he's indicating the coolant level actually was low last time he had this problem. He didn't tell us if its the same case this time. If its losing coolant, it isn't normal.

I'm sorry, it was full. I just added some to be safe. I guess this is a problem from what my buddy said as well.

So I will try and clean it off.

Thanks guys. Happy Turkey day tomorrow.
