Coolant fans keep turning on, why?
Coolant fans keep turning on, why?
So over the past couple days, I've noticed that the coolant fans keep turning on until I turn the car off. Why would this happen?
The engine temp shows that the temp is good.
The low coolant sensor keeps going on, but I suspect it's just faulty.
The thermostat is only about a year old. And oh yeah, the outside temp is only about 60 degrees F.
So what gives?

Mine was doing this as well. I had mulitiple problems at the time. Opti was going out, waterpump was leaking, low coolant light was on. So i changed my opti out, went to an electric pump. I replaced my temp sensor thats on the pump. I was going to also change the sensor on the radiator but autozone didnt have any. Well anyway i got all that replaced filled it up with coolant and the coolant light went away and the fans turned on normally
I could be wrong but i think the sensor on the waterpump relays the info to the computer and its not the one for the guage in your car. So your guage could be reading right, but the computer could be getting wrong info causing your fans to turn on. Again im not sure.
