Connecting Fuel Lines????

So I'm almost done with installing my new fuel pump. I have it back in the tank and everything. But I'm having a big problem with connecting the 4 fuel and vapor lines. I'm doing the install from the top, via the "trap door" too. So, I have the male end in the female end but I can't get them to click toegether. And I can't get the vapor line towards the front of the car to connect either. Do anyof you guys have any pointers to get these dang things together? Thanks a ton.

I want to do the trap door thing when I do my fuel pump so I have been thinking about this, from what I have seen the trap door does not open far enough to the lines connection point so I was thinking that when you go to reconnect the lines and you push em in there the lines will back away and you will not be able to get them together, I suggest you have someone see if they can push the lines from underneath while you push them on from above and see if that works.
