Your car might have the speed governer on it. Some F-body cars did, depending on options ordered.

Why are you going 115 mph anyway? lol.

Time for a re-program

I did a search and that appears to be the problem.

At TWS I was expecting to hit 135-140 at turn one. Need to get this limit removed tomorrow. Would a Hypertech be able to reprogram it? If so how hard is it to do and where can I get one shipped overnight for delivery on Friday?

Brad

Get a hypertech and you can edit it out yourself, find one on ebay unless you wanna spend 300+
Its easy to work the hypertech a one armed monkey could run it.

Programming is the only way I know of to remove the limiter, you might check and see if Summit can overnite you one.

faster, faster, faster,
common dude you sure you own a camaro? did you put camaro badges on a civic?

I have repeatedly on many an ocasion pegged my speedo for long periods of time, some where around 150 and 160 not sure yet , waiting on a good deal on a gps unit. Btw i don't believe and of the z28's were limited to 115, that sound like my mom's land cruiser. Not sure if the hypertech will remove a speed limiter, i just used cat tuner.

Good luck Mike

hypertech WILL remove the speed limiter, and yes Z's with the 115mph are governed.

Z's with the QLC option got he Z rated tires and 155mph speedo, apparantly your car was purchased with out this option, which boggles my mind, lol. Who would get a Z with like 100mph rated tires,

If the car came with crappy low speed rated tires then you got speed limited from the factory so you would not kill yourself going 150 mph on a tire rated for 110 or 120. A hypertech will get rid of the speed limiter.
