computer turned off while loading tune

i had just began loading a tune and my battery went out, normally i keep a close eye on it as i know you should NEVER let it run out while loading. this time i was slacking and now when i try to load the tune it says that it cant communicate with the pcm. what do i do now? do i have to get a whole different pcm, or can i just take this one to the dealer and have it flashed? (and if so can i bring just the computer and have it done or to they hook up to the aldl connector?) i tried unhooking the battery for 20min and that didnt help any...

Your PCM is trashed. A few guys will fix them... madwolf is one of those guys. www.madz28.com is his webpage and youll find what he charges for the service. Hes probably getting pretty good at it by now and hes good about sending it back quick.

Another option is to grab one from a junkyard, might be faster/cheaper.

Re: computer turned off while loading tune

this has happened to me before also. Best thing I can reccomend you is send it to madz28.com (Ion) and pay to get the PCM socketed. This means, if this were to ever happen again, Ion flashes the pcm for like 40 bucks or sockets for 60, and your back to being good. If you buy a PCM from a junkyard and this happens again, well you have to buy a new one, again. Also Ion does a core charge, and will send out a PCM next day usually, and when he recieves yours he will credit you back, and you only pay like 10-15 dollars more, but there is no down time. Dont waste your money on another PCM, get yours socketed!

dealer will not be able to flash it...Contact Ion, and have one sent out today, and pay the core charge, and send yours out as well. He will credit you back,.
