Computer Question
Computer Question
I've got a 94 z28 with supercharged lt1 pushing 487 rwhp. I'm building a raptor 4 based 4l60e-700r whichever you want to call it. I have stock obd1 and want to change out the computer system for more parameters. Anybody out there have any good luck with the gm obd2 for this. Or do you have a suggestion on a different system that isn't overkill as far as what I actually need for the street and light track duty. Price is the issue here. I've seen the Big Stuff 3. Way too much money. I'm sure it's worth it. I'm just not willing to fork over that much cash on it. I'd rather spend the money on my next project (mosier rearend). Can anybody point me in the right direction on a thread based on this topic already so I'm not wasting your time. I need serious suggestion by someone who knows there stuff. Someone who has done this. Not someone who read about something or a friend told them so.

Consider the EFIConnection conversion to the "no opti" LS1 PCM and 24X cam sensor addition. The LS1 PCM is much faster and more flexible than the LT1 OBD-II PCM, which has no real advantage over your LT1 OBD-I PCM.
My choice for engine management is the MoTeC systems (I run an older MoTeC M48Pro), but if you don't like the price of the Big Stuff 3, you won't like the MoTeC.

What he says and Rich..More Parameters???? Mine, Stock PCM, Supercharged 722 RWHP on the Fast Gas....No Problems....
There is an Impala out there with a converted Donovan block for 434ci running boost and some spray pushing 150mph in the quarter at solidly over 4000lbs. He doesn't have any good dyno data but the weight/mph says well north of 900 at the wheels.
OBD2 pcm, opti, 4l60E, 8.5" 10bolt and a whole lot of other parts that "wont work"
