what should the psi approx. be for 11.1 cr ?

 

I believe if you are testing them individualy you need them all within a certain range not just a set number.

 

I checked 4,6and 8 and got from 165 to 175psi

 

not to steal your thread how hard was it to check number 8

 

piece of cake unless i have 7 and 8 backwards , driverside is what i checked, pass. side ,jack car up and pull starter ,much quicker

 

Did you keep the throttle wide open?

Cam comes into play but my bone stock wagon with 10:1 at 180K miles cranked 195-200 and my heads/cam 100K mile Caprice at a static 11.5:1 cranked like 225-230.

 

Driver's side is #1/#3/#5/#7

 

As said it depends on the cam profile. My LPE cam with heads on a stock bottom end tested at 210psi whereas my GM847 was right around 175. Rule of thumb is all cylinders should be w/in 10% of the highest value.
