Are comp camshafts hollow or solid?

Are comp camshafts hollow or solid all the way through for the LT1?

Solid Roller cams buddy and made of steel due to the constant stress they are under.

Solid. Then there are cast and billet cores, and then there are different kinds of billet cores.


As a side note, the lsx cams are rifle drilled.

I was generally speaking for the roller cams that came in the lt-1 which were the solid roller steel cams. I dont do lsx man

The LT1 uses hydraulic rollers, not solid rollers.

I believe he was referring to the fact that the cam is solid, not hollow, since that was the OP's question. And actually the cam is not hydraulic, the lifters are. The cam is just a solid piece of steel with a bunch of bumps on it

Yes i was referring to the actual piece being solid. And yes copy that on them being a hydraulic roller cam. This is understood and i appreciate the hospitality. I just hope the original question from the person whom started the thread actually got the advice he was seeking rather than just seeing some people arguing over whom is right as is usual with some of these people on this site.

I was thinking maybe you can get an aftermarked cam rifle drilled like the LSx cams.
