Cold Air Intake Temp.

Hi All,
I have a quick question. While running some tests last night, I noticed that my air intake temp was 110deg while driving. I have my CAI down in the fender which I believe is the normal place to put it. What temps are you guys seeing? Should I have modified the plastic skirting surrounding the area to allow more air? What is the best technique?

Where is you IAT sensor located? If it's still in the stock location on the inlet bellows, it is getting "heat soaked" and showing a temperature higher than the air actully flowing in the system. That is why some people chose to relocate the IAT sensor closer to the filter with a CAI.

You did install the "blockoff" plate, to keep hot engine compartment air from getting to the air filter?
