OK, here is what happened. My car stopped running on me one night, after hearing a pop. After working on the car I know it isn't the alt. I replaced the battery with a red top Optima. Today after fooling around with it some I got it to start. I un plugged the wire running from the coil to the opti and tried to crank it to see if there was spark....nothing. So I put it all back together and it runs. Shut it off to put the intake back on try to start it and it won't start. Now it was turn over but it dies instantly. What do you guys think....is it the coil or did the opti go???

 

Sounds fuel related to me. Why don't you test the coil and ICM and check the fuel pressure? PM for the tests.

 

I replaced the coil and it runs now.....I really don't think I even had to replace that. The car was flooded and it took awhile to crank over and start running.
