What is a good scan tool for a 94 z28? I heard that using a laptop with freescan is a good method. Anyone know where I can get the cable that goes from the lap to the OBD connector? Or is a handheld like scanmaster better?

I'd get the cable. It allows you to tune your car as well (provided you have the software of course) in case you decide later.
