Could be anything.... when they scanned it, did they check the misfire counts on the indivirual cylinders? That will tell you if its a truely random misfire, or mainly only one or two cylinders.

no i scanned it myself.....i barrowed one of those scanners they have at autozone.....i was just looking to c the code.....i didnt know u can check which cylinders are misfiring if u could?

heres the deal tho....i have new coil/ICM, opti is less than a year old but is still not counted out....plugs and wires i dunno prolly origional.......
it seems to only happen when teh car is warmed up and u go for a drive...turn the car off come back to it and start it up again.....then it misfires....only recently it decided it didnt want to run...the misfire went on for a like a month b4 i got a code...and i know optis are notorious for not spitting out code for a while..

well thi time im not taking it to dealer to get it checked out cuz i was raped once b4 for that opti....i know a few ppl that will help me out.....soo ill c what they will say.

just wondering what u guys thought

If you don't know about the age of the plugs and wires, change them.
