code 84

I keep getting a code 84 - I know it has something to do with the skip shift but what does it entail and would it affect anything else???

Nothing else happens. The PCM is reporting that it is not seeing voltage on pin B13 of the Black PCM connector (grey) wire. Either you have a wiring issue or the solenoid it disconnected. It wouldn't be a fuse problem since you are not getting codes for EVAP or EGR or O2 heaters.

If you want to eliminate the code and leave off the CAGS put a relay coil in the socket in place of the solenoid.

The code can be eliminated by putting a 2.2Kohm resistor in the harness connector.
