The opti fires the injectors and the plugs so if the PCM loses 1 of the 2 signals then the motor is gonna stall out. Did you ever try the old paperclip trick to see what codes come up?

 

Yep.

Not jumping on you or anyting, but I have mentioned a couple times already that no codes are being thrown. I checked it and could NOT believe that "12" kept flashing over and over and over!

 

i would put a coil on it first.

They are cheap... i've even got a few laying around.

When they get hot you can sperate a weak contact in the inductor. Hit a bump and bam.. its off and your not running any more

PS.. you plan on going to the track tonight? I think I finally got a belt to fit half way decent.. I also got some really nice looking heat wrap around my aftercooler..

 

I have already put a coil and ICM on it.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!

I changed the opti harness and the car hasn't missed a beat!!



Runs different than it ever has before. Now when I start it up, it will idle sorta high (1000-1200) then settle down after about 20 seconds to 850 or so!! It has NEVER done that....as far as I can remember.



It also starts ALOT easier now!!

 

Where did you get the opti harness? My cars doing the EXACT same thing.

 

I have another LT1 car that I stole it from. I hear that it is over 100 buck for the damn thing!
