Red face

As I stated in the other thread, no one is better than the other. Every top engine builder out there uses a different bearing and has had very successful results doing so.
Name a Clevite bearing winner and I'll name one who uses Federal Mogul (FM). Name one who uses FM and I'll name one who uses Childs and Albert. There is no clear cut winner. This is just one area where everyone is on the same playing ground.

Now if we're talking other engines besides sbc's... some bearings are better suited to certain engines because of they're unique oiling needs..... groove width etc., plays into that.

Don't think so.... they are competitors.

Clevite/Michigan 77 is part of the Dana Corporation. Dna is pretty notorious for developing, manufacturing and marketing their own products.

Ok, get the Clevite "H" series and get on with other things. A couple hundred professional engine builders can't be wrong.

Either that or read up on the different bearing makers and make a choice based on which you think is best. Lots of info out there.... King Alecular for instance: http://www.earlyhemiparts.com/king-tech1.shtml

Do you have the specific part #'s on the Kings bearings? How much did they run?

Also, does FM have an "H" series also? I'd like to get those or the Kings...

That's what ya get for using the search button.

I've heard some not so great things about Clevite...I'm more inclined to go with the FM's, but I'd rather have the Kings if I can find them...

WHat? heard not so good things bout the clevites?? What did you hear? Do tell Like I said, Im running the Clevite H bearings all around in my block and haven't had any issues... Spin to 7K and every year when I pull my motor to freshen it up, they always look good... Which clevites did you hear about??
