Clean Pro Mag rockers?

Are you supposed to clean the Comp Pro Magnum rockers in mineral spirits to remove any bearing grease like you do with the lifters?

I was only able to find the instructions for the Magnums, which said to clean everything, but couldn't find anything on Pro Mags. And Comp is probably closed today.

They should be cleaned in solvent and then soaked in motor oil before installation.

This is kind of on kind of off the subject, but what exactly is good to use to clean them?? Reason I ask is because I have a new set of lifters that will be going in eventually.

Sadly, mineral spirits does nothing for me. Is that just mineral water or what?

You'd find it by the lacquer thinner & paint thinner products, probably close to the paint aisle.

Re: Clean Pro Mag rockers?

yea, it's basically paint thinner.

I'm glad I saw this post, because I forgot that I should clean my Pro Mags before install.

Going to buy some mineral spirits now....
