i'll post one more time, and then outta here, because is seems you would rather argue about spark plugs than solve your problems.

The fact that a plug fits in another car or only cost a dollar doesn't make it a bad plug. Most conventional copper core plugs cost $1.00 - $1.50. What makes them a bad choice may be that they are the wrong heat range or the wrong design. Did you ask your builder why he used those plugs?

The specs show they are gasketed plugs, not the tapered seat plugs that the factory LT1/LT4 uses. Do you possibly have aftermarket heads, that require a gasket plug?

Good luck with the NGK "Iraniums".

i did call the builder right after i put the new ones in and asked why they put those plugs in the car. he wouldnt give me an answer and changed the subject. he was one of the top guys there but i believe they hired someone to put my enigne together cuz they were so busy. they were other things messed up i had to fix also like my headers sitting against my steering shaft and could hardly turn the wheel, and unpluged coolent lvl sensor and other small things. and i use to run copper plugs all the time when i use to have my nitrous/turboed 240sx drift car but just a lil colder plugs. they were good for nitrous to. i do like them. i just want a plug listed for my car is all. and i have trickflow heads. i dont believe they use gasket plugs nor have i used them in it before. i was only knocking on them putting that plug in my car. not all plugs. and i got the ngk iridium plugs(i cant spell worth nothin and took a guess without lookin). big improvment over what was in there and suppost to be good with nitrous. i was only giving my opinion and defending myself on my statements above. not everyone thinks the same or has the same views. so i wasnt argueing, just telling mine

i believe i found the problem. with the code reading failed maf and everything else checking out it has to be the maf. i will know for sure when i change it out. im haven a hard time trying to find my original in my shed. it looks like a junk yard. and its pouriing here today. but im pretty sure thats the problem and was the only code in the computer also. but seriuosly, thanks Injuneer. u been here a long time and know ur stuff. no offence to u by what i said

Trickflow heads use plugs with a gasket to seal to the heads, not tapered like stock lt1 castings. if you use a non gasket seal plug you will defintly have a problem.

thats wierd cuz some of the plugs recommended by them dont have the gaskets. i just looked it up to on another set of heads on there site with the 4 plugs they recommend for there heads. i looked them up and some of them are and some arent. ive used both and never had a problem yet with either
